1. What opportunities does FBLA offer?

​

Competitions:

  • Over 70 competitions with varied focuses (a comprehensive list of all competitions can be found here)

  • Opportunities to gain state and national recognition in our 3 conferences:

    • Regional: Bay Section Leadership Conference (BSLC, TBD 2023)

    • State: California State Leadership Conference (SLC, Sacramento 2023

    • National: National Leadership Conference (NLC, Atlanta 2023)


Chapter and Individual Projects:

  • 3 chapter projects (American Enterprise, Community Service, Partnership with Business)

  • 5 individual projects (Green Initiative, Financial Literacy, Leaders in Action, Professional Profile, Business Achievement Awards)

Executive Leadership Program (ELP):

  • Mock Funding Competition

  • Gain hands-on experience addressing real-world business issues by pitching innovative solutions to a panel of judges.

2. What classes are recognized as CTE courses?

3. Do I need to take a CTE course to be a member of FBLA?
To be a member and participate in projects, meetings, guest speaking events, job shadowing, and ELP, you do not need a CTE course.
To be a competitor and compete at conferences, you do need a CTE course.

 

4. Can I take a CTE course outside of CHS?

No. You must take your CTE course at CHS as part of your schedule if you’d like to compete.

 

5. What should I do if I missed a meeting?

If you miss a meeting, no worries! Make sure to read our debrief email (sent out after every member meeting) and/or follow up with another FBLA member/officer.

 

6. When are FBLA socials?
